Hospital Records celebrates their 21st anniversary
And is releasing an overwhelmingly large compilation for the occasion!
Hospital Records is a D&B label well known by all the fans of this genre around the globe, therefore it might not be necessary to introduce it in great lenghts. But still, in a nutshell:
Hospital was established in 1996 in South London by Tony Colman and Chris Goss, the original London Elektricity duo, who released their first full-length album Pull The Plug on the same label in 1999. An album that has later become an absolute classic.
Since then, Hospital has released tens of releases from the most prominent and legendary names of the D&B world, the likes of High Contrast, Cyantific, Netsky, Other Echoes, Danny Byrd, Phuturistix, Nu:Tone, Q-Project and many others. Hospital has become one of the most famous Drum&bass labels in the world.
Hospital runs their subsidiary label Med School as well, aiming on the more experimental side of Drum&Bass. They are also responsible for organizing the worldwide known Hospitality parties, that have managed to win the Drum And Bass Awards price for the best club night several times. At the end of last year Hospital released their 300th release and decided to kick the year 2017 off with this huge compilation.
The double-album contains 68 tracks, offers 24 brand new exclusives including the new collaboration between Fred V & Grafix and Metrik and also contains two hour-long mixes, put together by the alltime Hospital star Nu:Tone. You can look forward to some bangers prepared by the iconic producers of the D&B scene like Noisia, Spectrasoul, London Elektricity, S.P.Y or Logistics as well as a showcase of music from exciting new talents like Urbandawn, Hugh Hardie or Whiney. It just doesn't get much better than this!
Hospital has been entertaining us for more than twenty years now and hopefully they will keep at it for at least twice as long yet.
Happy birthday Hospital Records!
